University Park House
Luxury Modern Home Design in University Park
This 11,200-square-foot luxury modern home in University Park was designed for a young family of five. Our clients wanted a house that could feel refined and almost museum-like, while still being warm, livable, and able to host the energy of daily family life.
We approached the residence through warm minimalism. A limited palette of plaster, concrete, wood, and glass creates clarity and calm, while interior wood volumes bring warmth, movement, and intimacy to the scale of the home. The sculptural stair tower introduces a strong vertical rhythm, becoming both an architectural anchor and a source of connection between floors.
Although the house is large, we wanted it to feel personal and alive. The design makes room for gathering, play, movement, and memory, allowing the home to feel clean and composed without becoming precious. It is a modern Dallas residence designed not only to be admired, but to be lived in fully.
To create a place where the children and their friends would naturally want to gather, the house includes a pool, half basketball court, gym, movie room, golf simulator, game room, and play room. Each of these spaces is folded quietly into the larger architectural language so the home remains cohesive, calm, and deeply considered.
The result is a custom modern home in University Park that balances luxury, restraint, and family life. It is a residence shaped by proportion, material, light, and the rhythms of the people who live there.
