Architecture, Art Curation & Antique + Vintage Furnishings

Bentley Tibbs Architect is a Dallas based architect working throughout Texas and in New York.  The studio is known for modern homes rooted in warmth, craft, and conversation.

We design with a belief that every project — from new construction to curated interiors — begins with listening. Each service we offer reflects a single idea: architecture, art, and objects should belong to one story, creating spaces that feel inevitable, personal, and quietly powerful.

Residential Architecture in Dallas & New York

Every home begins with a question — not a blueprint.

Our architecture practice is guided by how people live, move, and remember. Each plan is deliberately composed and crafted to hold the rituals of daily life with grace.

We believe in architecture that listens — to clients, to material, to light. Every house is a prototype: designed with clarity, warmth, and the tactile honesty of natural materials. From modern new construction to thoughtful home renovations, we remain involved through the last detail, ensuring the work reflects not just how a home looks, but how it feels.

“Good architecture doesn’t announce itself. It holds memory. It endures. It looks forward.”

The final layer — and the first consideration.

For us, art is never an afterthought. The way light hits a wall, the rhythm of a corridor, the pause at the end of a view — these are architectural decisions informed by the art that will live within them.

We begin the art curation process early, integrating it into the architectural design so that walls, proportions, and sightlines are informed by what they will one day hold. From there, we collaborate with galleries and artists to select and install pieces that feel inevitable .

“Architecture doesn’t stop at walls, roofs, and structure — it lives in how you occupy it. The art and objects you choose help define mood, intent, and movement through space.”

Sourcing & Curation of Early 20th-Century Furniture

Objects that shape the architecture.

The furniture we select is not decoration; it’s part of the structure’s conversation. A well-chosen chair or table can establish proportion, inform sightlines, and shape how light is received in a room.

We source antique and vintage furnishings from the 18th and 19th centuries, and early 20th century — pieces with lineage, craftsmanship, and quiet presence. Each selection brings continuity and soul to modern architecture, grounding new construction in time and memory.

By engaging furnishings early in the design process, we ensure that every element — from architecture to object — belongs to the same story. The result is layered, enduring, and distinctly personal.
