University Park House

Architectural Design Highlights

This 11,200-square-foot residence was designed for a young family of five. The directive: create a house that felt like a museum, but could be hosed down. The result is warm minimalism—a space both clean and chaotic, serene and alive.

A limited palette of plaster, concrete, wood, and glass creates clarity and calm. Interior wood volumes—especially the sculptural stair tower—introduce warmth and vertical movement. Despite its scale, the home maintains intimacy. It invites life, mess, and memory.

To make it the place where all their children’s friends would want to gather, the house incorporates a pool, half basketball court, gym, movie room, golf simulator, game room, and a general “play room”—each one folded quietly into the larger architectural language.
