Tree House
Architectural Design Highlights
Located on a steep, wooded site in Arlington, this 3,200-square-foot home engages its topography to lift living into the canopy. The main living space—a vaulted, timber-trussed volume—sits between two wings and opens to a cantilevered balcony 14 feet above grade.
Floor-to-ceiling glass, scissor trusses, and a fully glazed gable dissolve the barrier between indoors and out. The home becomes a perch, a retreat, a structure suspended in the trees.
