Oliver Street

Modern Residential Architecture in Dallas

What began as a renovation of a 1950s Tudor evolved into a new modern residence designed for the way our client lives today. Created in collaboration with Abeyta Tibbs Architecture, the Oliver Street home carries a quiet sophistication, balancing the character of an older Dallas neighborhood with the clarity of contemporary residential design.

We approached the home through material, atmosphere, and light. Brick, plaster, and steel guided the architectural language, giving the residence a sense of weight, texture, and permanence. As the client described it, the architecture evokes “both a smoky quality and a disheveled English gentleman.”

Throughout the design, we wanted the house to feel grounded from the street while becoming more intimate as it unfolds inside. Natural light moves across layered surfaces, revealing the subtle shifts in tone, texture, and proportion that define the home. The result is a modern Dallas residence that feels urban, personal, and quietly timeless.
